Dream of Freedom

Dream of Freedom is a short film by Kevin Bisbangian. In this film, scenes from nature, human activity, and other real-world phenomena are not described for their own sake,rather they are used to signify the state of the artist's (Juliette Jeanclaude) soul. A variety of bold images and objects with symbolic meaning have been utilised to create a deep metaphorical and suggestive theme. Observing Juliette's fascinating artwork in conjunction with freedom of the body and nature, Kevin Bisbangian uses flashbacks to evoke complex states of mind by allowing the viewer to discover the attempts to define the essence of symbolism. Finally it is left for the viewer to interpret if the character's dream is a simple desire for freedom for artificial inhibitions or a self-conscious feeling of being exposed.
