Slaying Gods

Lu Chen, once the master of the Godslaying Hall, chose to live an ordinary life under an assumed name with his wife Jiang Ruoxue, working on a construction site. On their anniversary, he learns from his sister-in-law that his wife is actually celebrating the birthday of Wang Shaojie, the young master of the Wang family. After a quarrel, they divorce, and Lu Chen reappears at the Fengming banquet, only to be shunned by everyone. In a critical moment, his backer, Wang Yanglin, arrives to defeat the rivals. Wang Shaojie's sister, Wang Xuan, arrives and uses the military to blockade the venue. Lu Chen reveals his true identity, leading to Wang Xuan's suicide. Lu Chen investigates and tracks the clues back to the Sima family in the capital, and while helping his fiancée Ji Yanfei, he eradicates the Sima family, leaving his ex-wife Jiang Ruoxue deeply regretful for her allegiance to them.
