This story begins with Ariana, a renowned reporter and adopted daughter of the prominent Prawira family. She is willing to sacrifice everything to uphold the good name of the family that raised her. When Ladya, her adopted sister, becomes depressed after becoming pregnant out of wedlock and her boyfriend running away abroad, she contemplates suicide. Ariana is asked by her adoptive mother, Indar, to acknowledge the baby as her own. This decision destroys Ariana's career and ends her marriage to Kai, her boyfriend from a wealthy family.
