The Missing Woman

Karen is willing to give her life to free her beloved husband, Georg, from his financial worries. Only with the million he hopes to receive from the insurance company could he pay off his heavy debts to brutal debt collectors. Georg, who knows nothing of Karen's selfless intentions, has also come up with this idea - but under different circumstances: He has secretly hired a hitman. Karen unsuspectingly runs into the killer when she aborts her nighttime suicide attempt by the lake. Instead of doing his job, Bruno brings the drenched woman to safety. He soon begins to skillfully play her and his client off against each other.
