


The story begins when three old friends, Jason, Andrew, and Carl, of different ethnicity meet up at brunch one day. Jason, a 30-year-old African American man, is waiting for his friends outside a brunch spot. As he's talking to a Hostess, his 30 years old Caucasian friend, Andrew, approaches him. After greeting each Another, they move in to wait for Carl, their third friend. In the meantime, Carl, 35 years old Asian American, come to the table and settle in. Then, Carl begins to explain his reason for being late, noting that he had to pick up his stuff from work, much to everyone's surprise. Carl adds on that he has been working for 10 years for his rude boss, Kelly. On his friends' insistence, Carl recalls the day when he quit his job, noting that months ago he applied for two days leave to play a role in a show, but Kelly rejected his application a few days before the show. Depressed, Carl calls his mother and tells her about the situation. Unlike his father, who believes that Carl should do a proper job in order to earn money, his mother encourages him to quit the job to follow his dream. After hanging up the call, Carl approaches Kelly and quit his job. Back At the table, the waitress has served the food while they talk. On hearing the big news, Jason excitedly declares a celebration and asks Carl about his future plan, to which he replies that he is planning to focus in his stunt classes. Meanwhile, Andrew offers Carl to join his theater classes, but he refuses, noting that theater is not his style. Then, Jason tells them that he will be reading a new pilot for Tyler Perry's studio show, much to everyone's delight. In the next episode, Jason calls Andrew, who helped Jason with practicing his lines for voice over. Meanwhile, Andrew suggests Jason use a subtle voice to read his dialogue, to which Jason agrees. In the afternoon, enraged, Jason approaches Andrew and Carl in the kitchen and blames Andrew for ruining his audition by suggesting using a subtle voice, much to Andrew's distress. At night, Jason goes to a bar with his friend, Sandy, who tries to cheer him up after losing his role. Meanwhile, Andrew takes Carl To his theater class. during the class, Carl observes the teacher, and old lady, being rude with her students and decides to leave, noting that theater is not for him. As Carl moves to go outside, the teacher calls him on stage and confronts him for not taking acting seriously because of his fear of failure. Her words make Carl realize that
